Introducing our School Council

During the first few weeks of the Autumn term, each of the classes in years 1 to 6 voted for someone to represent them in our school council. The School Council runs every Friday afternoon and is supported by Mrs Bailey.

Introducing our School Council members:

Dosbarth Hydref – Faith

I wanted to be a school council member because I wanted to listen to everyone's ideas, for example having more comfortable seats in class!

I love playing with my friends.

Outside of school I enjoy going to drama club and playing with Lego.

Dosbarth Gaeaf – Emily

I am excited to be part of the school council team as I wanted a position of authority and the chance to lead something.

I have a cat called Luna which I love to play with. I am a very relaxed and easy-going person.

I want to make sure the Pontprennau Promise is seen every day so that everyone stays safe and can get better at things.

Dosbarth Blodau – Evelyn

I am really pleased to be part of the school council team. I am hoping to get more people into sports. I am a keen footballer.

I think our school is a great place for everyone.

I have a pet dog called Newt.

After school I am part of the Kinetic drama club.

Dosbarth Gwanwyn – Rowan

I like to help people and I hope I can do that by being part of the school council group.

I am very sporty and would like to see some lines painted on the football pitch for playtimes and lunchtimes.

I love food and really enjoyed the trip to Cadbury's World!

Dosbarth Maes – Cody

I am excited by this new opportunity to be on the school council team.

I really like the teachers at Pontprennau and I think they make learning fun.

I enjoy reading, drawing and playing on the iPad.

Dosbarth Dolydd – Hannah

I am pleased to be part of the school council as I love to help others.

I love to sing and recently performed in a band at the FOPPs Christmas Fayre.

Dosbarth Ffynnon – Kai

I am excited to be part of the school council because I think it will be fun.

I love playing with my friends and my favourite thing to do on the yard is to play on the castle.

Dosbarth Nant – Elsie

I am very helpful, and my friends said that I would be a good person to be on the school council.

I understand that everybody has rights, and I want to make sure we follow this.

I would like to see some astroturf outside in places so that the ground isn't too muddy in the winter and it will keep people safe as they won't slip over. I think everyone should follow the Pontprennau Promise.

Outside of school, I love to go to gymnastics.

Dosbarth Haul – Max

I wanted to be a school council member because I like going to important meetings.

I think the teachers in our school are really kind.

My favourite school trip was when I went to the zoo.

Dosbarth Haf – Mia

I enjoy going to Kinetic drama club after school.

I would like to make sure the school is safe for everyone and has less mud to slip on outside.

I like playing outside because it is fun and I love the playground.

Dosbarth Dyffryn – Elliot

I am pleased to have this new role on the school council.

I love school and I really like playing with my friends.

I also enjoy reading.

Dosbarth Mynydd – Amayah

I am helpful and kind and a very good friend.

I always follow the Pontprennau Promise and want others to do the same. I know everyone has rights.

My favourite trip was when I went to the beach.
