Everyone is thoroughly enjoying this term's topic "Are we there yet?'
This week in school the children made posters about different vehicles - labelling the different parts and writing facts about them. In Maths we talked about odd and even numbers and practised counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We began creating a box city outside as well as setting up a 'bike garage.'. The children continued to explore building and making famous landmarks and different vehicles in the construction area. The children made boats out of recycled materials and tested them to see if they would float.
We will continue to explore vehicles this coming week and look forward to:
Parent Science Challenge on Tuesday 21st May at 2.15 pm.
We would like to invite parents, grandparents and carers to come to class to make vehicles with your child.
(Please note, only 2 adults can attend for each child.)
We will be creating and experimenting with boats, wheeled vehicles, paper planes and parachutes, and welcome contributions of recycled materials.
We would like to thank those parents who have come to read to their child's class on a Friday afternoon. The children have loved having you. We continue to welcome readers and story tellers at 3pm on Fridays. Please sign up at the door or tell your child's teacher.
Thank you for your support!
