Making musical instruments

The children explored a variety of  musical instruments, playing them loudly and softly, as well as trying to tap a steady beat.

Then the children used a variety of recycled containers and natural objects including conkers, seeds, sticks and leaves to create their own musical instruments. As we came together as a class the children described the instruments they made. They talked about the noises they made and everyone played their instruments together in a mini orchestra!
