This week our literacy focus is to use persuasive language to create a leaflet encouraging people to save our pet shop and buy our pets. We are including reasons to try and convince people.
Our maths sessions are continuing to focus on money. We are looking at word problem solving, extracting the amounts and completing the number sentence. We are also working on coin recognition and ordering coins from lowest to highest value.
In our topic work we have been looking at animals from around the world, to see if they would be suitable for a pet shop. We have been creating picture collages, using the i-pads, of different animals and adding information about them.
The enhanced provision this week involves a money matching game, sorting the coins using tweezers, creating a fantasy animal, making animal puppets and much more.
