Eco Schools is an international programme which rewards schools for working hard on environmental topics to make the world a better place. It works by involving the whole school - pupils, teachers and other staff together with parents and members of the local community. It encourages teamwork and helps to create a shared understanding of what it takes to run a school in a way that respects and enhances the environment. Eco Schools is a recognised award scheme that accredits schools who make a commitment to continuously improve their environmental performance. There are 3 levels of award: Bronze, Silver and the Green Flag. We are a Green Flag School - Since 2025!

During Pupil Voice, the Eco Club is championing global citizenship by leading a range of engaging activities that connect students to global issues and promote positive change. These include collecting clothes for a local clothes bank to support sustainability and social responsibility, presenting a Global Goals PowerPoint to raise awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and sharing an Arabic language game to celebrate cultural diversity and inclusion across the school. These initiatives link directly to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly Article 12 (the right to be heard), Article 28 (the right to education), and Article 29 (education should develop respect for others and the environment). Through these activities, pupils are empowered to take action, express their views, and contribute to a more just and sustainable world.
