Ar lan y mor dw i’n hoffi........

This week the children have been busy learning lots of new Welsh vocabulary.

In our focus task children have been drawing pictures on the Prowise board of things they like to see and do at the seaside and have then used their images to make Welsh talking books using the sentence pattern “Dw i’n hoffi...”

Here is some of the vocabulary you may hear your children saying at home:

Beth wyt ti’n hoffi?  What do you like?

Cranc - crab

cregyn - shells

psygod - fish

hufen ia - ice cream

seren for - star fish

pel - ball

castell tywod - sand castles

nofio  - swim

mor - sea

traeth - beach

ar y traeth - at the beach

dw i’n hoffi ..... - I like
