Dear Parents 

Welcome to Year Two. All of our new Year Two children have had a great first few days and settled beautifully. 

We are continuing to set homework via website class pages and HWB in this new term so please keep checking this class page for information. 

All children will be allocated a bug club series of books for them to listen to and read.  Home readers will be sent home in the next few weeks when we have spent time with the children assessing their skills. 

All children will be set maths games to play and practise their number skills on active learn. 

During week two your child will bring home a purple home learning book with a grid for each half term. The grid explains some tasks they can also complete during the evenings and weekends. These tasks can be put in the purple book and children can return them at the end of the term for teachers to see their wonderful efforts and give out the new grids.  

In the purple home learning book we have stuck the passwords the children will need for their home learning. If you have any issues with passwords please contact school via email. 

There will also be regular HWB tasks for your child to complete at home. These will help them to catch up and consolidate the skills they are learning at school during the week. 

Year two PE will be on Thursday. Please make sure your chid comes to school in their PE kit on that day as we will not be changing in school. Joggers/leggings are a good idea if it is chilly.
