Week beginning 3rd December 2018

Our Christmas concert is well underway. Please make sure your child learns their lines and looks at the song booklet too. Please bring costumes in ASAP in a clearly labelled bag, no later than 7th December.

We will continue with topic work next week with a focus on science. We shall be investigating magnetic, non-magnetic, floating, sinking, and the properties of materials.

Week beginning 26th November 2018

Following on from thinking about the things we need and want the children will be talking about charities. In groups the children will research a given charity and present their findings to the rest of the class. We will then find out which group were the most persuasive by asking someone who they'd be more likely to donate money to.

We will also be learning new songs and rehearsing for our Christmas play.

Week beginning 19th November 2018

Monday 19th Training Day

We will be doing lots of welsh and ICT this week. Children will be collecting data by asking and answering questions in welsh and then they will produce a pictogram or bar chart to show the results. We will also be starting to think about parts for the Christmas concert which is on Thursday 13th December.

Week beginning 12th November 2018

This week we will be starting our next topic 'Money! Money! Money!'

In maths the children will be taking part in a maths investigation. They will be looking at different ways of creating the same value of money using different coins. We will also be looking at receipts, bank notes, exploring coins and creating our own coin rubbings.

Following on from our trip last week, the children will be writing a recount of the day, using time words such as 'first, next and last'.
