Week beginning 17/12/18
What a busy week we have had in Year 1 to end the term.
We started at the beginning of the week with the children completing math and comprehension assessments, in order for us to continue to track their progress.
Then came the fun part. On Wednesday we enjoyed a trip to Wenvoe garden centre, the children got to meet Santa, take part in craft activities, go on a hunt and visit the aquarium. After returning to school we then got to attend the 'Rock Steady' concert, which was fantastic. Well done to all the children that were involved.
On Thursday the children did a great job of sequencing and writing about the different parts of our trip to the garden centre before enjoying a well deserved Christmas party, with food and games. Then came the 'Pop up' shop where we sold the items that the children had designed and made as part of enterprise week. We were very happy to see so many parents join us for this event and purchase the items that the children had made.
We ended the week off with the children all wearing Christmas jumpers and bringing in a toy to play with.
