This week our story stimulus is ‘The Three Little Pigs.
The children have already listened to the story during our "pupil voice" session and they have planned lots of our learning challenges for this week.
Language & Literacy
Our focussed literacy activity this week will involve creating and writing a sorry card from the big bad wolf. The children will talk about times when we too have to say sorry.
Mathematical Development
In our maths session we will continue to practise our counting skills and will continue practising counting on 2 more than a given number using number lines.
We will also be introducing 3D shape to the children, learning the names for the shapes and talking about the different properties of each shape. The children will be using wooden blocks to build houses for the three pigs and will talk about the shapes they have used.
Creative Development
On our continuous and enhanced provision the children will have the opportunity to paint scenes from the three little pigs, make houses from straw, sticks and bricks and play in the small world with the characters from the story.
