School Meals

School meal menu

Pupils from Reception onwards can chose whether to bring a packed lunch or have a school dinner at lunch time.

School dinners are provided by Cardiff Catering and payable via ParentPay. Reception up to Year 4 children are all entitled to free school meals.

If you are in receipt of certain benefits your child will be entitled to Free School Meals (FSM); details of which benefits you must be entitled to are on the FSM application form.

If you believe your child is entitled to FSM please complete an application form, available from the school office and return it to Cardiff Council as instructed on the form. We would encourage parents who are entitled to FSM to return the form even if you intend for your child to bring their own packed lunch to school.

If you have older children or children in another school who already receive FSM you still need to complete this form for younger children when they start in our school, they will not automatically qualify because a sibling receives them.

Nursery pupils do not qualify for FSM.

We are working towards the Healthy Schools award from Cardiff Council and ask parents to support this by ensuring packed lunches do not contain fizzy drinks or more than one "treat" item.

We ask that there are strictly no nut products brought into school.

School Snack

Children are requested to bring in a healthy snack each day.

Pupils in Foundation Phase (Nursery-Year 2) are also provided with a drink of milk, provided free under the Welsh government scheme. All pupils are requested to bring in a clearly labeled flask/bottle of water each day.
