W/C Monday 13th June 2016
We have another busy week planned for all of the Reception children.
This week we start our new context for learning
"Who lives in a rock pool?"
We are excited to start this context with a trip to the seaside, which will give all the children an experience which they can reflect on throughout our new context.
Language & Literacy
This week the children will be writing lists of what they need to take to the seaside. After our visit, the children will also be writing letters and postcards to tell their families what they did on their visit to the seaside.
Mathematical development
This week in our maths sessions the children will be introduced to telling the time on analogue clocks and digital clocks.
The children will explore the different features of the clocks and what each number represents.
The children will practise reading o'clock times.
Creative
There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the week for a variety of creative activities all with a beach theme.
If the weather is hot this week, we would be grateful if you could dress your child appropriately with a sun hat if required and ensure they come to school wearing sun cream.
Please also remember to bring the permission slips back for our super school trip if you have yet to do so.
