Our focus this week in literacy has been on homophones - words that sound the same but are spelled differently and have different meanings. We have been learning to identify homophones and use them correctly within sentences.
In numeracy this week Dosbarth Dolydd have been learning about doubling/halving, using the diamond method to support. Dosbarth Maes have been creating a fraction wall and continuing their work on equivalent fractions.
This week through our topic work Dosbarth Dolydd have been focusing on literacy and numeracy across the curriculum. The children have been creating their own bar charts about pollution, to show the top 10 items found during a coastal clean up.
The children have also been making promotional videos about The Great Barrier Reef, using the ipads.
A huge well done to the children in Dosbarth Maes who completed their swimming this week. They all made fantastic progress and grew so much in confidence.
