Ash Morgan (Parent governor)

I am really pleased to have been voted in as a parent governor. My daughter is in year 1 currently having come through from nursery. Living locally, I think our community has a lot of good things going for it like our green spaces and parks, the church hall and a local doctor, but its the school that I see as the centre point of the area. It's what brought many of us to Pontprennau, and its what we all have in common.

I am very much looking forwards to getting involved in the 'background' parts of helping to run Pontprennau Primary School like reviewing the various policies, taking part in the committees and having oversight of the finances. Ensuring the school continues to have good governance and strong ethics means a better education for all of our children. I only have good memories of my schooling and hope that our children will also look back fondly on their time in school when they're older.

My career in risk management gives me a background in governance, data analytics and project oversight, while my life as a dad has given me a strong knowledge of Pokemon, Disney songs and Barbie fashion. I expect all of these skills and attributes to be useful...
