Reading books

Your child will have the opportunity to change their reading book frequently throughout the week, when they are ready to. 

Please can parents/carers write a small comment in their child's reading record to indicate to staff that the book has been read and is therefore ready to be changed. 
 

Your child will have the responsibility to put their reading book and record in the 'In' box in the classroom. Year 3 staff will endeavour to change the book the same day or the day after. They will then need to take their new book out of the 'Out' box at the end of the day. 

Weekly Spellings
Spellings will be set each Friday, starting on Friday 26th September. The spellings will be posted to the Year 3 Google Classroom. You can access the virtual classroom by logging into Hwb and clicking on the 'Google for Education' icon. From there you will be able to select the Year 3 classroom and see the spellings. 
Spellings will be set each Friday at the end of the day and will be tested the following Friday. 

Library
 On Monday the children will have the opportunity to swap their library book if they have finished with it or wish to change it.
Please make sure you send their library book in on this day to be changed.

P.E

P.E takes place every Tuesday and Thursday.
Please ensure you wear a plain white t-shirt, plain black joggers/leggings/short as well as their purple school jumper/cardigan/hoodie. 

Snack

Healthy snacks only please and NO NUTS as we have some severe allergies in the school.

Belongings

Please ensure all of your child's personal belongings are clearly labelled.
We encourage the children to take personal responsibility for their own items.
