Christmas Nativity

Over the next fortnight we will be getting ready for Christmas. We found a bare Christmas tree and a letter in our classroom - from Buddy the Elf! He has asked us to help him get ready for Christmas. The children decided they would like to make decorations for the tree - baubles, paper chains and paper snowflakes. There is a lot of glitter in our classroom at the moment! We are also wrapping 'presents' (different sized boxes) to go under the Christmas tree. We are making and writing Christmas cards in the creative and writing areas. We are also going to bake some delicious Christmas goodies. We have made some 'snow' out of flour and baby oil which is great for our small world people to make igloos and snow angels in. We will be learning about why we celebrate Christmas, and will set up a nativity scene in the small world area.
A quick "thank you" for all the costumes that have been brought in. We are almost ready to perform our Christmas concert!
