Week beginning 14/1/19
This week in math our focus has been on adding either 1,2 or 3 more. One of our activities involved solving word problems by placing peas in the trolley. Another required the children to find the missing number and then aim bean bags at the corresponding superhero targets.
In literacy we are continuing to look at adjectives and this week have been using them to describe Supertato (Supertato is the superhero from the book we are taking our inspiration from at the moment). We have also been innovating the ending of the story, using story mapping to show this.
Through our topic work we have been creating sound stories, using different instruments, body percussion and sound effects to enhance them.
The enhanced provision this week has included the chance to create superhero books, make Supertato, save the peas from the jelly, role play in the superhero HQ, free the veg from the ice, practise partitioning and make up adventures for the characters in superhero city.
