Abacus Maths
As a school we teach maths to the children through a combination of schemes.
We use both "Little Big Maths" and "Abacus".
These approaches allow the children to experience maths activities in fun practical ways before they start recording their maths work.
Each pupil should now have received their 'Active learn' username and password.
These give all of our families access to Bug Club and Abacus where the children will be allocated a variety of online books and maths activities, relevant to their stage of learning.
The website is fun for the children and the activities will reinforce the learning in school.
The children can collect points in the online books and activities to open up new activities and rewards.
Each week we will allocate your child games and activities on Abacus. These activities are relevant to what we have been learning at school, and give your child a chance to practice and reinforce their new skills.
