This week we will be concentrating on our St David's Day competitions in school.
Language & Literacy
In class the children will be practising their letter formation for our handwriting competition.
The children will alos be practising their speaking skills and will be learning a Welsh poem "Mi Welais Jac Y Do" in preparation for our recitation competition.
The children will continue with their guided reading and phonic sessions and will have their one-to-one read with an adult.
Mathematical Development
In our maths session we will continue to practise our counting skills and this week will be practising number recognition above 10 and sequencing numbers larger than 10, both in sequence and not in sequences.
Physical Development
The children will have their PE and Games lessons in the hall.
Creative Development
The children will be painting daffodils from observation this week in preparation for our. St David's Day art competition. The children will also be practising their Welsh singing, ready for our singing competition.
