Autumn Term 2

Our Topic this half term is 'How many colours in a rainbow?'

We have a very busy half term planned. Our new topic how many colours in a rainbow will give the children lots of opportunities to explore and experiment with different colours. The children will be brightening up the outdoor area by threading the colours. We have started with the colour red, yellow and now blue. The artist that we will be looking at and creating our own work in his style is Piet Mondrian.

This week our investigation table contains all sorts of blue items from our Nursery and the children are encouraged to explore and investigate them.  We have our shop selling red, yellow and blue items for 1p and 2p. This is to encourage the children to explore money and pay for the correct items using the correct coins. Our children are really enjoying the shop and are finding new items to put in the shop.

The children are learning the songs for our concert 'A wriggly nativity' beautifully these songs can be found on youtube if your child wishes to practise at home. You are in for a treat. Letters about costumes and parts all went home last week. Any problems please see a member of staff.

Monday 2nd December -  All costumes for our concert to be in and clearly labelled please.
